ENGINEERS’ PAN-AMERICAN DAY
On July 20, 1949, the Pan-American Federation of Engineering Associations (UPADI) was created with the purpose of uniting all Latin American Engineers in order to consolidate engineers’ role in the continent’s social issues and actions and to join the countries of the Americas.
After 61 years of history, UPADI still leads the progress of Pan-American engineering by paying attention to environmental sustainability, social development, economic growth, and technological transfer based on the best engineering practices.
For six decades, UPADI has become the point of encounter of the continent’s engineers under the highest values of ethics, transparency, gender-equity, and professional standards.
Today we celebrate with the continent’s organizations this very special day, in which the engineering practice becomes another important pillar for the development of humankind in the XXI century.
