At this time, when all efforts are focused on economic recovery and the analysis of the new World order generated by the crisis, one of the most solid road to take, is unity and the search for participative schemes.

In this sense, UPADI intends to be the adequate technical and legal framework for it. Thus, we are taking up again the objectives set forth in Brasilia, last year, for the organization, namely: the development of a platform for professional exchange, based on the professional mobility policies that the countries define through the free trade agreements, and moreover, a business forum for professionals and companies which under the scheme of strategic alliances enables them to work jointly in projects developed in UPADIs member countries.

In order to strengthen this communication and interrelation across the borders, we invite UPADI organizations to frequently visit our web page www.upadisede.org , and contribute with articles and technical activities which may strengthen the professional exercise in other countries, and disseminate available information to the member engineers in each one of their countries. This way it will be possible to integrate this great Pan American effort, which is carried out to attain a better quality of life for all citizens of the continent, which is definitely, the final objective for all of us engineers.
